Block Page – Auto Advance Block

The following information applies to these components

The Auto Advance block is a timed redirect that automatically navigates viewers to another destination once a countdown has completed. Unlike navigation buttons, viewers do not need to click anything for the redirect to occur. The timer starts as soon as the page loads.

Only one Auto Advance block can be added to each page.

The block can operate completely invisibly, or it can display a visible countdown so viewers know when the page will change.

Add an Auto Advance Block

  1. Open the page where you want the automatic navigation to occur.
  2. Add an Auto Advance block.
  3. Position the placeholder anywhere on the page.

Set the Destination

Before the Auto Advance block can perform any action, you must configure a destination.

  1. Select the Auto Advance block.
  2. Open the block’s links by clicking the link button located above or below the block whilst it’s selected:
  3. Choose the destination you want viewers to be redirected to.

The destination can be another page, a section, or any other supported navigation target.

Set the Delay

The delay determines how long viewers remain on the current page before the redirect occurs.

  1. Select the Auto Advance block.
  2. Open the block’s settings by clicking the settings button located above or below the block whilst it’s selected:
  3. Enter the required delay in seconds.

Choose a Countdown Style

You can decide whether viewers see the countdown before navigation.

The available countdown styles are:

NoneNo countdown is shown. The redirect happens silently after the delay.

LinearDisplays a horizontal progress indicator.
DonutDisplays a circular countdown indicator.
